The important & major problem in solar street light is dust on solar panels, which reduces the efficiency of the system and finally the system fails.
Wiping of dust by climbing up & maintenance is a drawback.
Mr. Mahesh V S from SUN RAY SOLAR MUSEUM, Hubli has innovated a system wherein one
can wipe the dust on the solar panel regularly by operating a switch.
You switch ON; it sprays water as well as it
wipes the dust on the solar module. This additional cost will be around Rs. 1,500/-
depending upon the size of the solar panel. The innovation can be replicated to
mega Solar Project also.
