Mahesh inspired by the Sun and after working twelve years at the grass root
level in Renewable Energy field, especially Solar Energy ha setup world’s first
Solar Museum in Hubli on the 4th Feb 2006 the Rathasapthami the most
significant day on which Sun God every year rides his chariot to begin his
journey to bless the world and that day also denotes the beginning of the
summer. This Museum was started on 4th Feb 2006 at 59/1,7th cross, Vijayanagar,
HUBLI-580 032, Karnataka which has placed Hubli on the World Map gives all the
information regarding the growth & development of Renewable Energy over the
centuries. The Museum highlights various aspect of Sun to human society and
creates awareness, promotes and propagates the usage of various Renewable
Energy Systems.
Live demonstrations, seminars, separate education and training
courses for school children, teachers, bank and agriculture officers, women are
conducted in this Museum. The museum is approved by education and Agriculture
training depts., Karnataka Milk Federation Training center etc. The enthusitive,
young V.S. Mahesh the founder is also the Director of the Museum. About one
thousand watts of energy flows through solar rays in one square miles of place
says estimation. It is also said that only 0.1% such energy is used and
remaining goes waste, so we have to use all the available solar energy says
Shri. Mahesh.
The youth in
particular and all the interested users in general can get Training here for
about a fortnight. The Diploma & ITI Courses given here gives career and self-employment
of youths on supplies and Repair of Solar equipment’s. Shri. Mahesh has planned
many short term training courses in the museum for Voluntary organizations
& self-help, stri shakti groups through which solar lights are supplied to
the poor living in rural areas. Run for Sun Jatha, Painting, Drawing, Essays
and Debate Competitions for school children’s are organized to educate power
from the Sun. Solar Fashion Shows are organized in which many handsome and
beautiful models exhibit and demonstrate solar equipment in the most impressive
manner.
A Sun Temple (Surya Devasthan) on the model ISKON Temple is going to be
established by Shri. Mahesh. The Museum also honors by SUN RAY Awards for the
excellence work in the Renewable Energy field for individuals, institute etc. SUN
RAY AKSHAYA ENERGY HOW ROOM for sales & service forms a part of this
Museum. Solar Still, Solar Caps, Bio-gas plant, Aero-generators, Solar battery
operated Vehicles, LED Bulbs, Bio- mass stoves, Solar Sprayers etc.
